We provide services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our on-call personnel will take your call after office hours, on weekends and holidays to help you with staffing needs.
Who will need Home Health Care?
- Patients who need short-term assistance after discharge from the hospital
- Chronically ill, terminally ill, or permanently disabled persons who wish to remain at home
- Older adults who need assistance in their home due to illness or disability
- Family respite to provide short term relief for family members caring for a patient or relative who is ill
Who pays for Home Health Care services?

- We will verify benefits upon receipt of any assignment.
- We will bill your insurance carrier directly.

- If you are eligible for home health care coverage through Medicare or Medi-Cal, our office will bill them directly.

- When we bill you directly, Desert Home Health Services, Inc. statement of account will clearly identify visits and hours spent by our home health care professionals.
- You pay only per visit or per hour rates. We pay for all taxes and insurance of our employees.
- Our Registered Nurses provide skilled care and instructions to patients and their families. They enable patients and their families to function independently at home, increasing the comfort of patients and improving overall health.
- Our skilled nursing services can include but are not limited to the following:
- Treatments and injections
- Dressing change
- Catheter Care
- Supervision of medications
- Restorative care
- Respiratory care
- Family/patient health counseling
- Diabetic teaching
- Drawing blood & lab work
- I.V.
- Wound care, Wound VAC care, Pleurex Catheter care
- Pre-op and Post-op care
- Ostomy care
- Our certified Nurses are geared toward specialization in areas such as Wound Care, Mental Health, Orthopedic, and Cardiac Care, among others.
- Assist patients in improving abilities to perform daily activities, and restoring patient's physical function and fitness level
- Maximize an individual's ability to regain functional independence in daily living activities and functional mobility in the home, work, and community
- Deal with social and emotional factors related to illness.
- Our specialists help family members to properly care for patients by communicating available community resources.
- Assist patients with personal care, meal preparation, ambulation, and exercises under professional supervision
